Heroes & Angels 2026 - Annual Spring Event

Mark your calendars for our Annual Spring Event – Heroes & Angels on Saturday, May 16th. We hope you will join us as we honor Temple President Todd Bloomfield and COE Champion Judith Farber Weissman.

We invite you to make this celebration even more meaningful by choosing a sponsorship package that may include your special memories and blessings in a beautiful digital tribute book, tickets to the event, and/or a donation in honor of our honorees. Your generosity will be reflected on both the invitation and digital tribute book, and will make a lasting impact well beyond this year.

Our Honorees

Todd Bloomfield has been a proud member of Leo Baeck Temple since 2003.  Todd and his wife Tammy, began their invovlvement in Leo Baeck Temple Leadership when they became room parents, then volunteering at the annual Purim carnival, and on eof Todd's favorites - serving as greeter for High Holy Day services.

Todd was invited into Lay LEadership in 2013, when he began serving as a Temple trustee.  Two years later, he joined the Executive Committee, ultimately becoming President-Elect in 2022.

Serving as President of Leo Baeck Temple for the past three years has been a defining experience for Todd.  During this time, the congregation has celebrated joyous simchas, including the Temple's 75th Anniversary, while also coming otgether in strength and solidarity during a period of increased challenges facing the Jewish community.  Todd is deeply honored by the trust placed in him by the congregation and lay leadership as the Temple prepares for it's next chapter, including the transition to a new Senior Rabbi.

For Todd, the most rewarding aspec of serving as President has been the relationships he has built accross the congregation and the opportunity to strengthen the bonds that make Leo Baeck Temple such a special community.
Judith Farber Weissman is a lifelong Leo Baeck Temple member who has served this beloved community in multiple ongoing capacities since 1965, as a trustee and board member multiple times, and more recently as the Community of Elders (now in it's 17th year).  In this role, she has worked to reengage senior Temple members by providing programs and classes that stimulate, motivate, and empower our elders.  Fostering connections among those otherwise alone in their retrospective homes has been deeply meaningful for her.

Judith has also brought her landscapre design expertise to LBT, blending the beauty of the Temple's natural environment with it's gardens.  She also enjoys nurturing her intellectual curiosity through Torah study and participating in the Minyan.

In the greater community, Judith is a board member at OPICA, adult day care programming for persons with dementia, and on the Los Angeles Hebrew Union College-JIR Board of Advisors.

She is the proud mother of Trisha Sarkisian and Amy Farber, mother-in-law of Keith Sarkisian, and gramma of Wyatt, Sadie, Amerlia, Charlotte, Atticus, and Pippa.
