Write postcards to infrequent voters or those who face barriers to voting across the country to encourage them to register and vote.

Ballots & Bites: Your Guide to the November Ballot

Join Leo Baeck Temple's Community Organizing Leadership Team for a Voter Education event to learn about state, county, and city ballot measures on the November election ballot! We'll nosh, learn from experts, and ask key questions to prepare ourselves and the larger LBT community to be informed voters on November 3rd. We will also share our LBT Voter Guide. We hope you'll join us as we put our Jewish values into action and help strengthen our democracy—one action at a time!

Canvassing
Sunday, October 11 (2-6pm) Canvassing to Combat Voter Suppression in Los Angeles
In partnership with LA Voice and our interfaith partners, we will spend the afternoon knocking on doors to encourage voters to Vote No on Proposition 39, a statewide voter suppression ballot measure. The afternoon will include education on the proposition, canvassing training, and snacks!

Sunday, October 25 (9:30am-7pm) Canvassing to Combat Voter Suppression in Bakersfield
In partnership with the Dolores Huerta Foundation, join Rabbi Berney and Jews across Southern California for a day-long canvassing trip to Bakersfield. We will gather at LBT at 9:30 a.m. and caravan to Bakersfield, where we will have lunch and participate in training before spending the afternoon knocking on doors to encourage voters to Vote No on Proposition 39, a statewide voter suppression ballot measure. After canvassing, we will debrief as a group before hitting the road around 5 and plan to return to LBT around 7pm.
