Travel with LBT

The foundational story of Judaism — which is remembered, celebrated and relived every single day — is the story of a journey. In fact, everything that is important to our spiritual development as a people happens along the way. Traveling is a reminder that all of life is an extraordinary adventure. Traveling awakens curiosity and wonder, bringing those qualities to every stage of life.

As a temple community, congregational travel has enabled us to discover the world through the lens of our Jewish heritage, and to encounter one another so much more deeply along the way. For all of these reasons – and more! – we are excited to announce the return of Leo Baeck Temple congregational journeys in 2023-2024! We can’t wait to get out and explore the world together, with that unique perspective that traveling as a congregational community brings to the experience.

Morocco is a country drenched in color and brimming with mystery, with its whitewashed seaside towns, green valleys, red mountain backgrounds, blue streets, orange rugs, and rainbow-colored spices. Join us for a journey to Morocco’s four imperial cities, which all played a crucial role in Morocco’s history. Take in the sites, sounds and smells, of the medina in Fes. Celebrate Shabbat with the Jewish community of Marrakech and explore Morocco's rich history of Arab-Jewish coexistence. Experience the world of the Berbers, an indigenous people of North Africa, and get your hands dirty throwing clay in a ceramics workshop or weaving a colorful kilim with local women. This trip is for those aged 18+ with good mobility and an adventurous spirit. Land packages begin at $6,355 per person/double occupancy.
